Kismet hires three adults (one may be a young adult) to live with our students during five, week-long programs in the months of July and August. Live-in staff are responsible for students when they are not on the cliff (students will climb each day from about 8:30am until about 4:00pm). When the students return “home” they and the staff cook dinner and clean up together and engage in whatever activities are desired until bedtime. Live-in staff are responsible for bedtimes, for adherence to rules, and for anything else that comes up during non-climbing hours. A driver’s license is required. These positions are hard work. However, because of the nature of our student population and because the entire Kismet administration is kind, generous, and responsive, you will find your experience with Kismet to be rewarding.
The best way to initially contact Kismet about employment is via email.
