An education in climbing develops a broad range of children's potential. Climbing is a fusion of gymnastics and dance. It develops grace, aerobic conditioning, strength, communication skills, and it reinforces humility, honesty, respect, and mutual support. To climb safely, climbers must learn extraordinary focus and they must learn the subtle skills associated with precisely seeing and assessing the world as it is presented. To understand technical systems, students must learn the practical physics of friction, force vectors, mechanical advantage, spring theory, tensile strength, and dynamic force.
