Breaking Records; Helping Kids
December 17th, 2007Mats Roing of Boston found a creative way to benefit Kismet this season. He is attempting to break the winter record for summiting all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4,000 foot mountains and invites sponsorships of the individual peaks he’ll attempt, with donations going to Kismet programs.
A winter record attempt has to start after winter solstice and end before spring equinox and requires climbing 75,000 vertical feet over 230 miles. Tim Seaver of Vermont has the current record of 9 days 20hrs 24 min.

“My friend and mountainguide Mark Synnott had a presentation in Conway I went to and it seems like Kismet is doing something which is in line with what I’m doing…….it’s a good fit so to speak.” -Mats Roing
